Phase One

Orford House is a grade II listed building originating in 1803. It still boasts many original features. The building requires a lot of time and money to maintain and for some time has been missing the care and investment that it needs. We have for a number of years recognised this and made plans to begin an ambitious programme of work to bring the building to a condition that is sustainable for future generations.

The start of this is an extensive phase of work to repair and renew parts of the roof and fix the failed openings that are causing the extensive cracking and deterioration on the rear elevation. We are also renewing a number of windows. All this has been approved and we now seek to find heritage sympathetic and skilled builders to do the work. The process has started and it will to go to tender in mid June.

We are looking to raise money to bridge the gap between our existing funds and the cost of the work. Our target is £50,000.
